The Hawks have officially announced that the team has signed a multi-year early renewal contract with center Okonwu.
Previously, according to Woj, the value of the contract was $62 million over four years.
In the 2022-23 regular season, Okonwu played 80 games for the Hawks, averaging 23.1 minutes per game, scoring 9.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1 assist, 0.7 steals, 1.3 blocks, shooting 63.8%, shooting 30.8% from three pointers, and shooting 78.1% from free throws.
