SportsTalk reported on December 25 that Ineos Group, headed by Jim Ratcliffe, acquired 25% of the shares of Manchester United. Ratcliffe will also take over all aspects of Manchester United’s football operations.

Ineos chairman Sir Ratcliffe said: “As a local boy and lifelong supporter of the club, I We are delighted that we have been able to reach an agreement with the Manchester United Board to entrust us with the management responsibility for football operations. While the club’s commercial success has ensured that there is always sufficient funding to win trophies at the highest level, this potential has not been fully unleashed in recent years. We Knowledge, expertise, talent and talent from across the globe will be brought in from a wider range of areas. Ineos Sports will help drive further improvements to the club, while also providing funding for future investment in Old Trafford.
