The opponent fell to the ground and was later pushed to the goal post during the attack. The referee did not say anything.

After the game, Galatasaray officials posted a photo of Icardi’s bruised eye socket and issued a statement in protest. Fenerbahce also issued a statement in response, writing: “The player hit the goalpost and was injured but wants to act as a victim. Let us leave it to the public to judge.”
