SportsTalk, October 31st: Valencia Club was dissatisfied with Vinicius’ inappropriate use of a video of Valencia fans at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony, saying that the club and fans should be respected.
At the 2023 European Golden Globe Awards, Vinicius won the Socrates Award. He talked about racial discrimination when he won the award, and the big screen behind him showed pictures of Valencia fans discriminating against Vinicius during the game.
Valencia Club was very dissatisfied with this and issued an official announcement saying: “Valencia Club is dissatisfied with the performance of the Ballon d’Or awards ceremony We regret that our image has been used and associated with the isolated behavior of individual fans. The club has taken swift and decisive action to impose the harshest penalties on those responsible. We reiterate the club’s absolute condemnation of racism, but also Demanding the utmost respect for our fans and our club.”
