SportsTalk reported on October 30 that “Daily Economic News” reported that the hearing on China Evergrande’s liquidation petition was postponed to December 4.
On October 30, China Evergrande issued an announcement stating that the hearing on the liquidation petition was once again postponed to December 4. It once fell by more than 20% in early trading, then closed straight up at noon, and is now up by more than 5%.
Previously, before this, the hearing of China Evergrande’s liquidation petition had been postponed 5 times, starting on August 31, 2022 , first extended for more than two months to November 7, 2022, and a few days later announced another extension to November 28, 2022, and then announced an extension to March 20 this year.
On March 20 this year, China Evergrande further postponed the hearing to July 31, 2023, and later announced that it would be postponed to October 30th. It is reported that the Hong Kong High Court originally planned to hear the Evergrande liquidation petition submitted by offshore investor Top Shine Global today.
