SportsTalk reported on March 27 that Josep Andres, a reporter who once worked for Daily Sports, released a receipt on social media, saying that Barcelona paid Romano 400,000 euros in advertising fees.

Andres wrote: “Through a company that manages its relationship with Romano, FC Barcelona paid the Italian journalist 400,000 euros in order to advertise their players. I tried publishing this in Daily Sport but was reprimanded.”
