OPTA statistics show that Rodri is the second player to play in a single game for Spain at least since September 2006 (since statistics are available) The player who scored two penalty kicks was also the first Spanish international to do so since Ramos in 2017, when Ramos scored twice from the penalty spot in a friendly match against Russia.
