SportsTalk March 27 According to “Relevo” report, Spanish goalkeeper De Gea is not considering retirement. He hopes to find a new club this summer, but this will not be easy.
The FA Cup final against Manchester City in June last year was the last game De Gea played. An extension was reached and he became a free agent last summer. Although he later received offers from Saudi Arabia, the United States and European clubs, they did not meet his expectations. De Gea, 33, has been out of action for nearly a season but hopes to return to action this summer.
After announcing his departure from Manchester United, De Gea lived in Spain. To stay in shape, he hired a personal trainer. He chose not to accept any offer and waited for the best outcome. De Gea also visits Manchester from time to time, one of the reasons being to obtain tax benefits. Since last season ended in May, he will need to stay in England for longer.
