The British “Sun” reported that Mia Echeverria, the ex-wife of 48-year-old Uruguayan star Richard Morales, was arrested in June for carrying drugs and was subsequently sentenced to jail.
British media stated that Mia Echeverria and a group of others were interrogated by the police at the Uruguayan capital airport. The police found that one of them had 14 pounds and 5 ounces of cocaine hidden in two suitcases, and then they were all stopped.
Although Mia Echeverria’s lawyer initially claimed that the client did not know the contents of the handbag, after an investigation by relevant parties, Mia Echeverria was sentenced to two years and seven months in prison.
Mia Echeverría is one of the main stars of Uruguayan adult channels. She and Morales have two daughters. Morales played for Osasuna and Malaga, and played 27 times for Uruguay from 2001-2005.
